Introducing Flux 2

Flux 2 is The Escapers most important release ever. With a radically redesigned user interface, Flux 2 has the power to be your only web design tool.
Flux 2 is available as a BETA download now, please remember to backup any important work before using any beta software.

CSS

Flux 2 builds on Flux's great CSS support by offering comprehensive support for all CSS attributes, and allows them all to be specified independently. You can edit CSS in the built in code editor, or with the easy to use style editor, with changes being displayed in real time. If you prefer to use the WYSIWYG page editor, you can drag the elements around the page, alter their size, tweak padding and margins and the relevant CSS will be created and/or modified.

As you would expect from Flux, Version 2 has a fantastic page editor, you can create new elements, tables, lists, images, movies, sounds and many other elements without writing a line of code. If you want manual control, the built-in syntax highlighting code editor will update the page with every change you make.

Mac OS X Leopard

Flux 2 uses Leopard technologies like Core Animation to create a smooth and fast user interface.
We've also supported QuickLook in the site manager, to provide quick previews of your pages and images, you can also access your iPhoto and Aperture libraries from the built-in Media Browser.

Get Started Quicker

Flux comes complete with a comprehensive online help system to make creating your site as trouble free as possible, and we also supply a number of templates that illustrate many different web design techniques. The Escapers also hosts a very active (and friendly) forum for users to meet and exchange tips and ideas.

Publishing

FTP (including SFTP), Local Disk, and MobileMe are all supported in a completly rewritten publishing system. The Flux 2 publishing system is more reliable and faster than ever before.

EXTENSIBLE

Packages such as moo.fx can be downloaded and installed into your project without leaving Flux; many packages even have built-in examples to get you started quicker than ever.
Flux 2 now supports PlugIns, so 3rd Parties can add functionality to Flux. To get developing, check out this page, this forum is specifically for PlugIn developers.
